Bollywood star Deepika Padukone changed her Instagram bio after welcoming her first child. The actor, who gave birth to a baby girl on 8 September, offered a sneak peek into her motherhood journey.
“Feed, burp, sleep, repeat,” read Padukone’s new Instagram bio, her first update after becoming a mother. For those who don’t know, Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their baby at HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai.
Four days later, Shah Rukh Khan visited the hospital to congratulate the new parents. Previously, Mukesh Ambani also visited the hospital.
Earlier, on 8 September, Padukone and Singh announced the birth of their daughter with a simple post. Their post read, “Welcome Baby Girl! 8.9.2024 Deepika & Ranveer.” Before that, back in January 2024, Padukone had hinted at starting a family with her husband, Singh. She told Vogue India, “Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.”
She further said, “When I meet the people I have grown up with – my aunts, uncles, family friends – they always mention how I haven’t changed one bit. That says a lot about our upbringing. In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home. I am a daughter and a sister first. I don’t want that to change. My family keeps me grounded and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan. Ranveer Singh was last seen in the hit Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, and will next star in the movie Singham Again.
