Netizens were left with mixed reactions when Salman Khan announced that his leading lady in his upcoming film Sikandar would be Rashmika Mandanna. While fans were gushing about the two stars coming together, others wondered if their pairing would look good on-screen. As AR Murugdoss’ directorial is in shooting process, reports suggest that they might soon collaborate in another project.
Yes, you read that right! According to a Filmfare report, Rashmika has signed an Atlee film, co-starring Khan. Currently enjoying the success of her film Pushpa 2, a report by the India Today states that the Sikandar co-stars shared a “great working dynamic” on the sets of the film. Adding to that both Salman and Atlee were impressed with her performance in Pushpa 2. “That’s why the makers have decided to sign her for Salman and Atlee’s upcoming film, too,” the media publication quoted Filmfare’s source.

In an earlier interview with Pinkvilla, the Jawan director has spoken openly about the casting of the film. He explained how he wanted to surprise everyone with the cast of his upcoming next. Quoted by India Today, he added, “What you are thinking, yes (that’s true). But you are going to really be surprised. And I’m not being pompous, but it’s going to be the proudest film of our country. We want a lot of blessings, just pray for us. The casting is on the edge, and it’s going to happen in a few weeks. We will have the best, best, best announcement coming soon to you all.”
It is to be noted that the makers of the film are yet to officially announce the details of the project.
Talking about her camaraderie with Salman on the sets of Sikandar, the Animal actress heaped praises on him for taking care of her during shoot. Calling him a special person, she shared that he is “down-to-earth and grounded.” The 28-year-old actress added, “I was not well on set when we were shooting. The moment he found out about it, he asked me if I was okay and told the crew to get me healthy food, warm water, and everything. He really takes care of you and makes you feel special. I mean, he’s one of the biggest stars in the country, but he’s so humble and down-to-earth.”

While Sikandar is scheduled to release on Eid 2025, Rashmika Mandanna will be next seen in Laxman Utekar directorial Chhaava, co-starring Vicky Kaushal and Akshaye Khanna.
