Content creator and actress Apoorva Mukhija’s appearance on Samay Raina’s comedy show India’s Got Latent didn’t go down well with the netizens as they slammed her for using vulgar and abusive language on the show. As multiple FIRs were filed against her, she was brutally bashed with anonymous accounts publicly sending her rape and death threats. Not only that, but the media also hounded her for exclusive bytes on the matter when she used to step out of her house to give her statements to the police.
Owing to all of it, she had deleted all her content from Instagram and even unfollowed everyone. After almost two months of the ongoing drama, she has now broken her silence and has returned to social media by sharing her first post. Sharing a 20 slide post, she captioned it, “and that’s not even 1%” The first slide of the post reads, “Trigger Warning: This post contains mentions of acid attacks, rape threats and death threats.” The next 19 slides only consist of abusive and vulgar messages as well as comments she received after her IGL episode had aired on YouTube.

Summarizing the comments, they are just hate-filled messages written in an abusive language threatening her with rape and death. Some comments read, “Maa baap ne kuch sikhaya nahi kya?,” “Attention seeking behaviour,” “Do you have no shame?,” “Ghatiya ladki.” Hundreds of thousands of messages were sent to her on the same lines.
Popularly known as The Rebel Kid, Apoorva also shared another post that read, “Don’t take away the story from the storyteller.”
Taking to the comment section of the first post, netizens expressed their disgust towards the mindset of the people who sent her those crude messages. One wrote, “So where’s Cyber security and police now?” Another said, “Nothing just people doing the same thing, they claimed to have a problem with, irony! So sorry for you girl , stay strong!” Other one commented, “Idk how you handled everything but more and more power to you.” One wrote, “I’m so sorry you have to go through this. You’re the bravest!”

Talking about the India’s Got Latent controversy, she had appeared on Samay Raina’s comedy show alongside Ranveer Allahabadia and Ashish Chanchlani as guests. Being one of the panelists she was seen openly using abusive language and even asking a contestant if he had ever seen a vagina after being born out of one. It is to be noted that the contestant had first spoken about her private parts.
On the work front, she was last seen in Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor starrer Nadaaniyan.
