Over the past few years, Diljit Dosanjh has made a name for himself as a global icon through his music. Going on tours, collaborating with international artists for his concerts abroad, to making the country proud with his royal Punjabi look at the Met Gala 2025, the Punjabi actor-musician has created quite the stir this week. On Sunday, he took to his official social media handle to share the trailer of his much-awaited film Sardaar Ji 3. However, he was faced with severe backlash as it featured Pakistani actress Hania Aamir as the leading lady of the film.
Well, amidst calls for a boycott on Dosanjh from film bodies as well as the netizens, B Praak recently took to his official social media handle to share a cryptic message, hours after the uproar caused by the release of Sardaar Ji 3 trailer. While he didn’t mention any names, it was certain that he was talking about the Amar Singh Chamkila actor. Taking to his Instagram story, he wrote, “Kayin artist apna zameer he bech chuke ne. Fiteh mooh tuhade (Many artists have sold their conscience. Shame on you).”

The Instagram story has also gone viral on the subreddit InstaCelebsGossip. It was posted on the handle with the caption, “Bpraak story about Diljit.” Netizens rushed to the comment section of the post to hail the 39-year-old music composer for standing up. One wrote, “Finally someone said the truth.nhi too so called celebrities ko too apne desh se zyada pak fans ki zyada chinta hai.” Another wrote, “Finally!! Someone got spine.”

According to various media reports, Sardaar Ji 3 was shot before the Pahalgam attack. While Diljit’s film will not be getting a theatrical release in India, it will be released internationally on June 27, 2025. The decision was reportedly taken to avoid regulatory and public backlash. It is to be noted that while the teaser and songs from Sardaar Ji 3 are still accessible to the Indian audience, the trailer has been geo-restricted on YouTube due to Hania’s visibility in it.

Directed by Amar Hundal, Sardaar Ji 3 is written by Rakesh Dhawan. The film stars Diljit Dosanjh and Hania Aamir in leading roles as Neeru Bajwa, Jasmin Bajwa, Manav Vij, and Gulshan Grover among others in pivotal roles. Dosanjh has also co-produced the film alongside Gunbir Singh Sidhu and Manmord Sidhu.
