Bollywood actor Ahaan Panday became a hit overnight because of his performance in Mohit Suri’s romantic musical Saiyaara. If reports are to be believed, he prepared for his debut for more than five years. As the Saiyaara fever has been taking over the internet, recently, YouTuber Nikhil Pandey, aka Captain Sinbad, spoke about doing an acting workshop alongside Ahaan. While he made shocking revelations about the actor, he also recalled how the latter was a chain smoker and would always arrive late.
The video, which has been posted on the subreddit Bolly Blinds N Gossip, is captioned, “Nikhil Pandey (youtuber/podcaster/digital marketer) talks about meeting Ahaan Pandey at an acting workshop.” In the video, he is heard saying that at that time, Panday was a “21-year-old kid.” Quoted by the Free Press Journal, “Ahaan Panday, he was there. He was always late, chain smoker. He was a 21-year-old kid. I think he was trying to be an actor. Straight up, though, he was a great actor. It was weird because I wanted to hate this guy. He was always late. He’s the child of a movie star; kind of a douchebag, but great on camera.”

Opening up about the time, when Ahaan was given a crucial role to essay, he revealed, “He (Ahaan) was given a gay love scene where one lover has to give medication to other because the other one has AIDS. It was like really traumatic. I was like, ‘I am so glad I didn’t get that scene’. He just took it, and he just killed it. I think he straight-up made out with the guy. He didn’t tell the guy in advance. The guy just rolled with it because that guy was also like a committed actor.”
Talking about Saiyaara, just within six days of its release, the movie has surpassed many box office collection predictions by crossing the Rs 100 crore mark. This feat not only makes Saiyaara the fastest film of 2025 to achieve the milestone, but also makes it one of the highest-grossing Bollywood movies of the year. Having released last Friday, Suri’s film has collected Rs 153.75 crore.
