The first look of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut series, The Ba***ds Of Bollywood, was released by Netflix on August 17, 2025. The teaser shows what fans can expect from the series, starring Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, and others. Aryan appears in the teaser, calling the show a bit “too much.” Karan Johar praised Aryan, predicting the series will break records. He also cheered for lead actor Lakshya, previously seen in the 2023 film Kill.
Karan Johar shared the first look on his Instagram stories, writing, “ARYAN!!!! LOVE YOU!!! This is going to smash all records! I am proud of you.” In another story, he added, “So proud to see our boy shine as the leading man in this incredible series!!! The red carpet is ready @lakshya ! Go KILL it!!!”
The teaser begins with Aryan walking through a romantic setup, reciting Shah Rukh Khan’s lines from Mohabbatein: “Ek ladki thi deewani si, ek ladke pe vo marti thi, nazrein jhuka ke, sharma ke, galiyon se guzarti thi…” It shows glimpses of Lakshya and Sahher Bambba’s romance until Aryan interrupts, saying, “Aur achanak ek truck aaya aur usse kuchal gaya.” He adds, “Thoda zyaada ho gaya na? Aadat daal lo kyuki mera show bhi thoda zyaada hai.” The teaser then shifts to fight scenes, romance, red carpets, and action.

Unlike his father, Shah Rukh Khan, and sister, Suhana Khan, who are actors, Aryan chose to direct. He has worked on The Ba***ds Of Bollywood for over a year, serving as creator and director alongside co-creators and writers Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the series explores the chaotic world of dreamers and hustlers in the Hindi film industry. It stars Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, and Gautami Kapoor.
Shah Rukh Khan confirmed he has a cameo in the series. Reports suggest Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Karan Johar will also make special appearances.
