Over the past months, ever since announcing the sequel to his hit 2005 film, No Entry, filmmaker Boney Kapoor has been sharing updates about the shooting schedule. Yesterday, reports started floating on the internet stating that Diljit Dosanjh has opted out of No Entry 2, which also stars Arjun Kapoor & Varun Dhawan, because of his upcoming Aura tour. Well, the filmmaker has now opened up about the speculations and confirmed the news.
Talking to NDTV about the same, the 69-year-old filmmaker clarified that they had to take the decision because of date issues. Quoted by News18, he also expressed his desire to work with Diljit on a Punjabi film. He said, “Yes, we have parted in good spirits as the dates were not aligning with our requirements. Hopefully, we will soon do a Punjabi film together.”

For those who don’t know, Dosanjh will be commencing his upcoming Aura Tour in Australia and New Zealand. It will start from October 26 and go on until November 13. The source quote by Peeping Moon read, “Diljit’s packed touring schedule was becoming a challenge for the No Entry team. The film requires extensive planning for its massive sequel, and unfortunately, Diljit’s dates just couldn’t align. Given these constraints, both sides have amicably and mutually decided to part ways.”
Produced by Boney Kapoor, No Entry (2005) was directed by Anees Bazmee. It starred an ensemble cast of Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, and Celina Jaitly. While the sequel, which was announced in 2019, is also directed by Bazmee, Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor will star in leading roles.
