Hrithik Roshan, the Bollywood heartthrob, has been receiving accolades for his stellar performance in the Siddharth Anand directorial aerial action film, Fighter. However, amidst the praise and recognition, the actor recently shared an unusual aspect of his journey – the struggle to plan the celebration after achieving the perfect body shots for the film.
In a candid conversation with Film Companion, Hrithik Roshan opened up about the challenges he faced during the filming of Fighter and the unexpected dilemma he encountered after completing the physically demanding scenes. The actor revealed that he had to undergo three transformations for the movie, each presenting its unique set of challenges.
“I had to do three transformations, one just to check if I still have the ability before the film started, then did another when the film was on the floor, and then they had to cancel the shoot because of the weather conditions where they had to shoot,” shared Hrithik. He further added, “Then, I went on my summer break with my boys and when I came back I had to do the third transformation in 6-8 weeks. It was incredibly difficult, and I had to shoot three songs back to back while I was doing the transformation, which meant there was no fuel and I was just running on steam.”

The hard work and dedication paid off, and Hrithik achieved the desired body shots for Fighter. However, the actor found himself in a perplexing situation when it came to celebrating this triumph. “When the day came, and my body shot got done, it got over, I was so happy and relieved. But nothing was filling me up. I had gajar ka halwa, ice cream; I had not planned for the reward. I had only planned to be in this Fighter flight mode and get this done,” explained Hrithik.
In an unexpected turn of events, the actor resorted to smoking as a means of celebration. Reflecting on this choice, he admitted, “I was like, ‘What do I do? What do I do?’. So, I picked up a cigarette and started smoking. I went into the other deep end, and that’s a learning in itself because, in one week, my resting heart rate went up from 45 to 75. It’s that bad for you. So, I stopped. But it was a disaster. We only plan, schedule and brainstorm about the building, but what happens after the victory? That also needs a plan.”
