Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is currently recuperating after undergoing surgeries. He was stabbed multiple times by a knife on Thursday morning by an unidentified man, who had entered his Bandra residence. As fans have been taking to social media to pray for the safety of the actor, Mumbai police have launched their investigation in the matter. According to a new report by the Free Press Journal, they have identified the accused.
While talking to the media, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone 9 of Mumbai Police, Dixit Gedam revealed that the attacker’s motive was burglary. They discovered that the accused used the fire escaper to enter the house. He added, “We are making every effort to arrest the accused as soon as possible. Once he is arrested, we will be able to disclose further details.” He also revealed that one of the accused has been identified. There are 10 detection teams working in different directions. They are on the field to arrest him.

For those who don’t know, Saif lives in Satguru Sharan building in Bandra with his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and their sons Taimur and Jeh. Several media reports suggest that the actor was trying to fight off the intruder and save his domestic help from when he got stabbed multiple times, out of which two were deep wounds, one near his spinal cord.
Having undergone surgeries at the Lilavati Hospital, his team of doctors included Dr Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr Leena Jain, and anesthesiologist Dr Nisha Gandhi. The neurosurgeon in a recent media interaction revealed that Khan had sustained a major injury to his “thoracic spine.”

FPJ quoted him telling the news agency PTI, “Surgery was performed to remove the knife and also to repair the leaking spinal fluid….Khan is completely stable now. He is in recovery mode and is completely out of danger. We will shift him out of ICU tomorrow morning.” It is to be noted that no one has been arrested in the case so far.
