Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is currently reeling from all the praises being heaped on his recently released film Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story Of Jallianwala Bagh. According to a recent report by the Free Press Journal, he recently sold his office space in Lower Parel, Mumbai for Rs 8 crore. It is to be noted that the sale details were confirmed by the media publication, as per documents accessed by Square Yards via the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) website. The deal was officially registered in April 2025.
Located in One Place Lodha, the office space reportedly features a carpet area of 106.56 sq m, including two car parking spaces. The transaction incurred registration charges of Rs 30,000 and a stamp duty payment of Rs 48 lakh.

Free Press Journal reports that according to an analysis by Square Yards, he had purchased the office space in December 2020 for Rs 4.85 crore. Since the property was recently sold for ₹8 crore, it resulted in a substantial 65% appreciation over a span of five years.
As per RERA, the premium commercial project One Lodha Place, spans 1.08 acres and offers a range of office spaces varying in size from 179 sq ft to 27,392 sq ft. The average property rate in the development stands at around ₹48,000 per sq ft, making it one of the city’s high-end commercial real estate offerings. It should also be mentioned that Lower Parel is one of Mumbai’s prime commercial districts, as it offers seamless connectivity to other business hubs like Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) and Nariman Point.

Last seen in Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story Of Jallianwala Bagh, produced by Karan Johar’s production banner Dharma Productions, the film released in theatres on April 18th, 2025. Directed by debutant Karan Singh Tyagi, the film stars Akshay, R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday in lead roles. Based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire, written by Raghu Palat, C. Sankaran Nair and Pushpa Palat’s great-grandson, tells the story of the fearless lawyer who pledged to take on the British Empire after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar also has Bhoot Bangla, Jolly LLB 3, Welcome To The Jungle, Hera Pheri franchise, and other movies in his pipeline. Apart from these, he will be making his Tollywood debut with Vishnu Manchu’s pan-Indian film Kannappa and Marathi film debut with Mahesh Manjrekar directorial Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. He will be essaying the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in an extended cameo in the latter. The project is reportedly on hold due to financial constraints.
