As much as big screen releases saw a successful year with 2024, so did OTT releases. Movies as well as TV shows were released in India and internationally. From desi thrillers like Killer Soup to fantasy releases like Dandana and Light Shop in Japanese and Korean, ruled their fandoms in 2024. Citadel Honey Bunny
Led by Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the Indian release joined Russo Bro’s universe. The prequel showed a glimpse at the beginning of the Citadel and revealed more connections to the American show. The action sequences, direction and performance have been highly appreciated.
Killer Soup
The Netflix series followed Swathi Shetty, an aspiring restaurant owner (unskilled cook) who plots to replace her husband with her lover after what seems like an accidental murder. But the truth is completely different, the show’s screenplay and performances by Konkana Sen Sharma and Manoj Bajpayee were highly loved by fans.

Agatha All Along
Marvel’s show is one of the best releases by Marvel Television. Led by Kathryn as Agatha, the show focuses on her past and her motivations while also introducing a new range of characters which will carry the franchise forward.
Shougun
One of the best international releases this year, the show features great talent and also experiments with a dual language format adding more charm to the historical drama. It follows the story a shogun’s influence in Japan and how he shaped their future.
Arcane
The animated show was one of the most anticipated releases of the year and it followed through with a banger finale for the series. Based on League of Legends, it explores the story of two sisters and their relationship changing as the world around them changes them.
Only Murders in the Building
In the latest season, the podcast and the podcast hosts ger incredibly famous enough to get a film based on them. However, as they begin to celebrate terrible news befalls them. Sazz is murdered in their apartment complex by someone they possibly know. The show received much praise as the makers managed to engage the audience after four full seasons with more to come.

Lovely Runner
The Kdrama became a sensation throughout the year and also made its lead actors breakout stars. It follows the story of a fan who time-travels back to high school to prevent her idol’s tragic death. However, she eventually learns their lives are entangled in a way she would have never imagined.
Light Shop
The eerie Kdrama follows a group of people living in the same area, while they try to live their normal lives they are always drawn to a single shop in the dark back alleyway. Soon they are haunted by more than just their thoughts and realize what they thought their lives were turns out to be something worse.
Dandadan
The highest ranked debut of the year follows the story of a high school girl and her classmate who clash over their beliefs in ghosts and aliens. While Momo does not believe in aliens she is challenged to visit a known sight for the phenomenon leading to her abduction while Okarun ends up getting cursed by Turbo Granny.
Delicious In Dungeon
The show follows a group of adventurers who must fight monsters, starvation, and corruption in a dungeon to rescue a fallen sister. However, they encounter an unusual dwarf who has found a way to scavenge for delicious food in the inhabitable environment of the dungeon.
