Indian chef Vikas Khanna’s new New York City restaurant, named Bungalow, has been serving many renowned celebrities. Recently, on Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday (2 November), Khanna shared a throwback picture of him with King Khan. SRK replied with a thank-you-note for serving them a sumptuous meal when he was in NYC.
Now, Khanna has replied with a long note on his Instagram account, thanking SRK for being so humble. In his long note, Khanna mentioned the fact that though he has hosted four American Presidents, and almost all world leaders, ‘cooking for my Maa and YOU’ has been the biggest honor of his life and career.

He said, “I’ve hosted four American Presidents, and almost every major world leader, but cooking for my Maa and YOU at Bungalow has been the biggest honor of my career and life. You are our family, our sibling, our pride, our childhood, our love story, our greatest joy, and our best representation.”
He then continued, “When you were eating at Bungalow, you held my hand and said, ‘I’ve not come to just a restaurant; I’ve come to honor a place that represents our parents and our culture.’ I cried like a child. I know Radha must be proud. You are everything. ️ Bless the mother who gave birth to a Lion King.”
Bungalow, Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna’s new restaurant in the heart of NYC, is a sophisticated establishment that he has made in collaboration with restaurateur Jimmy Rizvi. Almost every celebrity or any native visiting the US makes it a point to eat at Bungalow and experience what Khanna’s new restaurant has to offer. Khanna, also an author and MasterChef India Judge, is known for serving people with love.
