Manish Malhotra has entered the film industry as a producer with his debut film Gustaakh Ishq. The teaser, released on August 25, 2025, gives a sneak peek into a period romance featuring Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh as the lead characters, with Naseeruddin Shah adding mystery to the story.
Set in the old streets of Purani Dilli and the fading mansions of Punjab, the film promises a passionate love story filled with unspoken desire, where architecture and music play key roles, according to the makers.
Directed by Vibhu Puri, Gustaakh Ishq includes a talented team with music by Vishal Bhardwaj, lyrics by Gulzar, sound design by Resul Pookutty, and cinematography by Manush Nandan. Alongside Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Naseeruddin Shah, actor Sharib Hashmi also has a significant role.

Produced with his brother Dinesh Malhotra under their banner Stage5 Production, Gustaakh Ishq blends classic storytelling with a modern take on Indian cinema. The film is scheduled to hit theaters in November 2025.
