Ever since Anurag Basu announced Aashiqui 3, starring Kartik Aaryan, netizens had been buzzing with excitement to know who will be the film’s leading lady. As per a few media reports, the makers were considering casting Triptii Dimri opposite the actor, after she gained fame because of her role in Animal. However, the recent buzz states that she has exited the show as the makers are in search of a more ‘innocent’ face. Now a report by News18 states that actress Imanvi and Sara Ali Khan are being considered for the part.
Yes, you read that right! Fans may just see Kartik romancing his ex-girlfriend on the big-screens soon. If the reports are to be believed, makers have their sights set on Imanvi, who is set to make her acting debut alongside Prabhas. A social media influencer, the soon-to-be-actress has reportedly agreed not to sign other projects until the release of her debut film. Bhushan Kumar, who is co-producing the film, is negotiating with the producers to allow her to join Basu’s upcoming romance saga, reports Mid Day.

The media report further adds that another “big contender” for the role is Sara Ali Khan. The actress is being considered for the role of the leading lady of the film as she has worked with Basu in his upcoming directorial Metro In Dino. While talking about the same, a source told the media publication that the makers plan to approach Sara if the conversation with Imanvi “falls through”.
The final decision on the casting is said to be taken by the end of January 2025. Well, if Kartik and Sara do come together for the film, it will mark their second union after Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal (2020). For those who don’t remember, the film was heavily criticized by the critics and the audiences. Fans have been waiting with baited breath to know who will be cast in the romantic musical saga.
