Sharmin Segal has become an internet sensation but probably not in the way she had hoped. Her monologue from Heeramandi, a Netflix show helmed by her uncle Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has been viral for weeks now, with many social media users mimicking the way she delivered those lines.
Fans have criticized her for the acting she displayed in the show, with many calling her ‘expressionless,’ ‘dull,’ and the ‘worst’ part of Heeramandi. Now, in a new reel uploaded to Instagram, comedian Krushna Abhishek, actor Karan Kundrra, singer Rahul Vaidya, and television personalities Aly Goni, Arun Bijlani, and Vikas Jain have also mimicked Sharmin’s dialogue from the show.
The reel, uploaded today, has been getting massive traction on Instagram and has already amassed over 200K likes and over three million views! (It’s only bound to increase as time goes on.)

Over on Reddit, where the post is also going viral, the top comment read, “They always look down on TV celebs and now they are getting taste of their medicine,” whereas a different user added, “Sharminda thought she will be star, she is right, she is memestar now.”
A different user commented, “Sharmin was so mean to Sanjeeda, calling her an outsider, dismissing her opinions and what not. It’s like the entire TV industry is coming after Sharmin to take revenge. First Nia (Sharma) and the girls, and now all the boys,” referring to the time when TV stars Nia Sharma, Jannat Zubair, and Reem Sameer mocked Sharmin Segal for her Heeramandi performance.
