Trashing rumors of divorce, Bollywood star Govinda and wife Sunita Ahuja appeared together for the Ganesh Chaturthi ceremony at home. Speaking to media personnel on the occasion, she quipped,
Koi hum dono ko alag nahi kar sakta hai. Chahe upar se koi bhi aa jaye. Bhagwan aa jaye. Koi shaitan nahi aa jaye. Koi nahi alag kar sakta hai.”
She added,
Vo bolte hai na Mera Pati Sirf Mera Hai. Mera Govinda Sirf Mera He Hai. Aur kisi ka nahi hai.”
(No one can separate us. Even if god shows up or the devil himself. Nothing can separate us. Like they say My Husband is My Husband, My Govinda is My Govinda. And no one elses) – loosely translated.
Sunita Ahuja further wished everyone the best of the festivities, advising them to celebrate with pomp and joy. She also suggested curbing the consumption of modak, a sweet delicacy associated with the deity.
Modak kam khaiye.”
She cheekily stated, “Bahot mushkil se weight kam kia hai.” (Have reduced weight with much effort).
Meanwhile, Govinda also joined in quashing the divorce rumors, stating, “Kuch bhi nahi hai.”
The Raja Babu (1994) star further solicited support for his children, even as son Yashvardhan gears up to make his mark in Bollywood. The star kid will make his industry debut with the remake of Baby (2023), a Telugu flick. Sunita and Govinda’s daughter Tina is an actress and costume designer whose filmography includes Second Hand Husband (2015) and Kaagaz (2021).
