Late Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor left a mark in the lives of his fans as well as the Hindi film industry. Apart from garnering a huge fanbase through his versatile performances, it was well-known that he was quick to anger. He was a huge foodie, especially non-vegetarian food, who also loved to drink. In the last months before his untimely demise, when he was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital, a vegetarian hospital, and had to strictly follow a veg diet he was extremely unhappy. Nutritionist Khyati Rupani, who was assigned to take care of his diet, has now revealed that he wasn’t in his best mood when it came to food.
During an interaction with Ronak Kotecha on his YouTube channel, she was discussing some of her clients who were “very supportive” and others who were “extremely rude.” When pried about her rude clients, she mentioned Kapoor’s name. She revealed how he would often be annoyed at the food. Quoted by Indian Express, she added, “Mr Rishi Kapoor was somebody who hated his food getting cut and Mrs Neetu was always about, ‘inko mat do. Inko kyu gulab jamun dia?’.”

Since he was a hardcore non-vegetarian, the pure vegetarian food at the Lilavati Hospital didn’t sit well with him. Explaining that despite her doing everything, he continued to stay irritated till the end. Khyati mentioned, “You don’t even do eggs there so first and foremost, half of the population who comes there, there’s this one restriction. So yes, he was one of the very unhappy clients. I tried doing everything but I think he went irritated only.”
For the unversed, Rishi Kapoor breathed his last in April 2020. He was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018 and underwent treatment in New York for the same. He reportedly returned to India in 2019, after a successful treatment. However, he was admitted to the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital in 2020 owing to breathing difficulties and he passed away a day later due to the recurrence of leukemia.
