Company (2002) and Saathiya (2002) star, Vivek Anand Oberoi established himself as an actor early on in the industry, with commercially successful movies like Grand Masti (2013), and Krrish 3 (2013). Son of Bollywood veteran Suresh Oberoi, Vivek made his debut with Ram Gopal Verma’s gangster drama Company where his gritty performance won accolades including two Filmfares. The second decade of his acting career did not seem as illustrious as the fiery start but Vivek had been at it, even making his Tamil debut in 2017 starring alongside Ajith Kumar in Vivegam. In 2019, he made his Malayalam debut as the antagonist in Mohanlal-starrer Lucifer. The actor has been a lil sush on the silver screen going a lil more plush as a business machine. Vivek Oberoi is now valued at over Rs 1200 crore with a business empire in Dubai.
In a free-wheeling podcast chat, the actor and entrepreneur revealed his entrepreneurial journey. Per the actor his father instilled the principle of being independent in him at a very young age. He would go door-to-door selling products at the age of 10 and also learnt to make business plans. At 19 he raised a whopping $3 million, becoming a young crorepati even before his Bollywood career launched. By 23, his startup was sold. Speaking about the success mantra, Oberoi quipped that his dad’s tough love led him to a path where he is now.
