Entrepreneur and YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, who gained recognition as BeerBiceps, hosts a podcast where he invites actors, politicians and other personalities to talk about their careers and the struggles they have faced. He got himself in trouble earlier this week by making inappropriate comments and jokes on Samay Raina’s comedy show India’s Got Latent. While celebrities like B Praak and Urvashi Rautela have cancelled their appearances on the podcast, an old video of Priyanka Chopra from their interview has gone viral.
The old video surfaced on Instagram, amid the ongoing India’s Got Latent controversy. In the video, Priyanka is seen schooling Ranveer about the importance of family in her life despite gaining fame nationally and internationally. During their interaction, the actress opened up about balancing her high-profile career along with family obligations. The 31-year-old YouTuber went on to ask her, “Do you still go to family functions and all that? Can you because of the fame angle because you’ve reached this level of fame?”

Chopra went on to question him in return and asked if he meant that just because she is famous she won’t be dancing during her brother’s wedding baraat. She went on to mention that despite her fame, family is important to her and it doesn’t define her. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, she said, “Family is most important to me. My fame is a by-product of my job. It does not define me. My fame is not my job. It’s very clear to me. I’m not famous for a living. I work for a living. And fame comes with it.”
The 42-year-old actress went on to elaborate, “Public people, even though you’re seeing a celebrity or someone every day on billboards or magazines, there’s still a human being behind them. They also like to eat paratha and achar. They also like to sit in a palti and dance at the baraat of your cousin and make sure that you get great food.”

Talking about the ongoing controversy, it all started when he allegedly asked a contestant an inappropriate question involving body parts and even proposed an indecent act in exchange of Rs 2 crore. He asked the controversial question, “Would you watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join once to stop it forever?” to a contestant as well.
This caused a huge uproar on social media and invited criticism from celebrities, politicians and other personalities. It led to Samay Raina deleting all videos related to his show from his YouTube channel.
On the work front, she has Citadel season 2, Heads of State, and The Bluff in Hollywood. She will also be starring in Farhan Akhtar’s much-awaited film Jee Le Zaraa, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. An announcement on the film is yet to be made by the makers.
