Slated to release on the occasion of Eid, like most of all Salman Khan movies, makers of Sikandar are yet to announce the actual release date of the upcoming actioner. Fans are waiting with baited breath to know when the movie will hit the big screens, so that they can start booking their tickets in advance. Now, a recent report states that the makers will be skipping the usual Friday release.
Yes, you read that right! According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the Free Press Journal reports that Sikandar, being an Eid release, will hit the big screens on March 30, 2025, Sunday. It was earlier reported that the film will be released on March 28, 2025. As per the entertainment publication, it has not been confirmed when Eid would be celebrated (March 30, March 31 or April 1), the producers of the film have decided to release it on Sunday.

Quoting the Bollywood Hungama source, the media publication mentioned that Sikandar release date has been locked by its makers. It added they are confident in releasing the film on Sunday as the upcoming week will be a “post-Eid holiday effect.”
The source added, “Sunday will be a big holiday, more so in Maharashtra as Gudi Padwa falls on that day. Meanwhile, Ramzan Eid will be celebrated on Monday, March 31. There’ll be a post-Eid holiday effect on Tuesday, April 1 and Wednesday, April 2 in many centres as well. The collections will again see a jump from Friday, April 4. Hence, until Sunday, April 6, the film’s collections will remain very strong.”

It should be noted that the 59-year-old actor’s last release, Tiger 3, was also released on a Sunday. Despite getting a good start at the box office, the earnings started showing a drop shortly after. It made a lifetime collection of Rs 282.79 crore at the domestic box office.
Touted as one of the most anticipated films of Bollywood in 2025, Sikandar was reportedly extensively shot in Hyderabad and Mumbai and made on a budget of Rs 400 crores. Starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, the movie will hit the big screens on the occasion of Eid 2025. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is directed by Ghajini fame AR Murugadoss. The movie also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, and Sathyaraj among many others in pivotal roles.
