In her latest Instagram post, Internet star Uorfi Javed addressed one of the most unspoken issues in the industry—lewd remarks by paparazzis. The innuendos are splashed across social media in pap’s posts and reshared by shady accounts that thrive on pervs on the prowl seeking visuals of celebs from certain angles. Known for her outrageous, unBollywoodesque, bold, rebellious, and quirky styling and fashion, Urofi’s IG comment section is a tell-tale of the larger endemic that has been plaguing desi men since the dawn of civilization. The social media sensation in a scathing post stated that while she loves the paparazzi community as it has been a big part of her journey to Internet stardom, however, things have changed for the worse recently. She quipped how she became uncomfortable when she rewatched some of the pap videos. Uorfi heard a pap commenting, “Chipkali ke haath kaafi sahi jagah par hai.” (Lizard’s limbs are at the perfect place.) Uorfi was seen donning a 3D dress fitted with an animatronic lizard a month ago. In one of the video shared by Viral Bhayani, a pap is heard saying, “Chipkali ke maje maje.”
A message to the pap community. I love you all dearly, you guys are a big part of my journey
I have said it multiple times, I love and enjoy getting papped but recently that has changed
The sly comments passed by the paps make me extremely uncomfortable, especially when i rewatch the pap videos on my phone. Not just for myself but for others too
I heard a comment on myself where one pap said, “chipkali ka haath kaafi sahi jagah par hai” when it was near my chest
Hearing that made me nauseous
Humble request to all: let’s all be mindful
I have always tried treating all of you with immense respect, in return, i expect the same
