Urvashi Rautela made news in 2024 when a bathroom scene from her movie Ghuspaithiya was leaked online. In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rautela said the leak was on purpose, and the filmmakers had asked for her permission first.
Rautela praised Ghuspaithiya as a great film, explaining why the filmmakers chose to leak her bathroom scene. She said the filmmakers came to her in tears, explaining that their movie had many flaws. They were so desperate, she claimed, that they were about to sell their land just to find a solution.

Rautela then claimed that the filmmakers asked her to leak the scene. She said, “They had some debts and were dealing with loans. They were about to lose their land. They were close to ending up on the street. So, they talked to my business manager and team about it.”
“And then, they took our permission ki woh movie ka scene tha, kuch aisa special nahi kiya tha humne. Woh movie ka hi scene tha. Toh un makers ka yeh ek request thi ki kya hum isko pehle leak out kar sakte hain. And it was sort of awareness also ki ladkiyon ko have to be careful,” she added.
Meanwhile, Ghuspaithiya is a crime drama film written and directed by Susi Ganesan. It is a Hindi remake of the Tamil film Thiruttu Payale 2 (2017), starring Urvashi Rautela, Vineet Kumar Singh, Govind Namdev, and Akshay Oberoi. The film was released in theatres on 9 August 2024. Rautela also recently starred in Daaku Maharaaj opposite Balakrishna, which was released in theatres on 12 January. Bobby Kolli has directed the film. It also features Bobby Deol as the antagonist.
