Vodafone Idea (Vi) has consistently strived hard to stay competitive in the premium postpaid market by bundling digital services and flexible family-sharing features. In yet another effort, the company has unveiled a new postpaid offering for families, the Vi Max Family Plan, in the country. The plan includes two mobile connections—a primary and a secondary. It comes packed with a bundled Netflix Basic subscription. Users also get access to a range of high-value benefits, including OTT subscriptions, 5G data access, and monthly data rollover.
With this new plan, the company is also offering ‘Choice’ benefits that will let users select one entertainment platform of their choice as well as one travel or security benefit.
Priced at Rs 871 per month, the plan provides a total of 120 GB of data. It is distributed as 70 GB for the primary user, 40 GB for the secondary, and an additional 10 GB of sharable data. Notably, the new Rs 871 Vi Max Family Plan will come with data rollover benefits for up to 400 GB (200 GB for each member).
Between 12 am and 6 am, the members of this plan will be able to enjoy unlimited data. The plan also offers unlimited STD, local, and national roaming calls with an additional 3,000 free SMS per month.
A key highlight of the plan is the bundled Netflix Basic subscription available to the primary member. Additionally, Vi is offering its ‘Choice’ benefit, allowing users to select one entertainment platform, including options like Amazon Prime, JioCinema, SonyLIV, and Fancode, through the Vi Movies & TV app. For added value, users can also pick between Norton Mobile Security (12-month subscription) or EaseMyTrip’s Travel Benefit, which provides flight booking discounts.
Users can expand the plan by adding up to six more secondary connections to the Rs 871 Vi Max Family Plan at Rs 299 per number. All members will receive 40 GB of free data and unlimited STD, local, and national roaming call benefits.
In a press release, Vi also revealed that the Vi Max Family Plan supports unlimited 5G data connectivity in select Indian cities such as Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Patna, and Bengaluru.
