As the release date of War 2 nears, excitement surrounding the Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani starrer. Set for a release on 14 August 2025, the makers of the Ayan Mukerji directorial have kept details about the film under tight wraps. While there is a whole lot of speculation surrounding the plot of the film, recently, a US ticketing site, Fandango, revealed the synopsis. As reported by News18, according to the synopsis, Roshan’s character has gone rogue.
Yes, you read that right! The media publication in its report states that after going rogue, Kabir becomes “India’s greatest villain” in the sequel of the 2019 film. As time goes by and he descends into the deepest shadows, India sends its “deadliest, most lethal agent” after him. As per the report, Jr NTR essays the role of a Special Units Officer Vikram.

The synopsis further reads, “A Special Units Officer who is more than Kabir’s equal — Absolutely Nuclear! Agent Vikram. A relentless Terminator driven by his own demons, determined to put a bullet into Kabir’s skull. A brutal Cat versus Rottweiler game begins as the two face off – The entire world is their brutal, bloody battleground. The choices ahead of them are impossible. The price to be paid is ultimate. This is a War with spectacular action and heart-wrenching emotion.”
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is produced by Yash Raj Films. Slated for a release on August 14, WAR 2 stars Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The upcoming spy-actioner is a part of YRF’s spy thriller universe, consisting of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, Salman Khan’s Tiger franchise, Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir, and Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film Alpha.
